The Journey
The Journey takes young people from stage 1; Building an understanding and employability competencies, through to stage 2; where they start to use them new skills and stage 3; where they're growing key competencies through real-life experience. The table below outlines each of the stages of our Learner Development Journey.
Stages
Building Understanding
Gives young people the understanding of skills required in world of work, it allows them to gain some of the foundation competencies and lets them recognise the need for continuous personal development in order to reach their ambitions. In addition it can also build on entrepreneurial skills as well depending on the programme.
Use Skills
At this stage they get to use them new skills in new situations, that requires the competencies gained at stage one, it allows the individual the opportunity to develop further and then start to make successful a habit.
Growing Competencies
The young people grow the key competencies in action. They articulate and evidence understanding and application of the skills in a real-life project
